The Saab Owners Convention being held 22-25 July in Aurora, Ohio will soon be upon us. Registration for regular attendance at the convention will have closed by the time this reaches you. Day Passes to the convention will be sold at The Bertram Inn and Conference Center. The cost per day is $25; or, you can get one good for both days for $40. You can see the policy on Day Passes at the SOC website.

As stated in the last issue, we are hoping that members who have made requests for track events will sign up for the Thursday Track Day. Registered SOC members and other members not registered for the SOC can still participate by paying the $200 fee at the SOC site.

We are very pleased with the great sponsors supporting SOC10. Given that Saab was all but dead just a few months ago; these folks are helping ensure that the rejuvenation of the brand includes supporting The Saab Club of North America’s annual convention. Saab Automobile and Saab Cars of North America continue to be great supporters of the convention. We will be honored to have as our special guests on Saturday evening Victor Muller and Jan Ake Jonsson. Mike Colleran will be there with his crew including John Libbos and Michele Tinson who have been very helpful in SOC execution and coordination. We will have the Saab Heritage Collection represented, a Parts Tent, informative seminars, Saab Round Table and a great time because of their participation. Sponsor wise, many thanks to: Dave Towell Saab, Saab of North Olmsted, Sports Car Service, Mile Hi Body Shop, Trio Motors, Goldwing Saab, Iowa City Saab, Meyer Garage and Aktive Motors. Please support them!

The convention was planned by members of the Saab Club Board who have given unselfishly of their time to make it happen. I am particularly pleased to work with Stephen Goldberger, the SOC Coordinator and Club Treasurer who has done a magnificent job in bringing it together.

See you in Aurora!
