I haven’t owned a Saab for long, but my interest in them started a few years back. I fell in love with the NG9-3 body style back in high school in Delaware. Later I ended up in Florida and bought my first Saab, a 2006 9-3.
It wasn’t long before I started modifying my 9-3 and getting acquainted with the Saab community. I decided to wrap my car in snow camo due to failing paint, and that’s how I ended up choosing the name for my Instagram: “camosaab”.
After owning the car about a year, I attended the Carlisle show where I was able to meet a lot of my internet friends in person. The convention bug bit me, and really grew into the Saab community when I drove to Chicago for SOC in 2023. Chicago was where I met Shelly Baxter and started talking about visiting various shows representing SCNA and spreading the word.
I have since represented SCNA at multiple events trying to bring out local members to shows that are all inclusive (like Carlisle). My hope is to bring everyone together, the young owners who like to modify their cars along with the folks who enjoy their Saabs in factory trim.
I am proud to have joined the board and can’t wait to get started.
