Kelly is a mostly retired Pediatric Anesthesiologist. He retired from the US Navy with 20+ years service in the Medical Corps and 7 years service in the US Coast Guard as a rescue boat Coxswain. He has always been a lover of cars but a busy personal and professional life precluded any serious hobby until his life slowed down a bit in the 2000’s.
He came onto the Saab scene relatively recently at the urging of an old Coast Guard buddy and after transitioning from reconditioning Volvo 240’s. When the supply of decent Volvo 240’s dried up he purchased his first Saab in 2014. He quickly followed on with seven more for a total of six at present. Kelly’s particular interest is in interior refurbishment, particularly leather seat care and refurbishment. He loves DIY projects that make the interiors look better, and that make the cars function as intended, leaving serious heavy duty mechanical work to others.
